Key West
Restaurants

Over the years we have enjoyed (and truthfully - sometimes not enjoyed) a broad range of dishes at dozens of restaurants scattered throughout Key West, Florida.

Restaurants come and go, and it is possible that one featured here may no longer be there. It's been a really tough market for restauranters in Key West over the last couple of years. So, before you go, please check and make sure that they are still around, OK?

Here are some Key West restaurants that we have enjoyed ourselves, or that our friends tell us are "do not miss", in alphabetical order.

Abbondanza
Italian Restaurant

Let me start by saying the last time we ate there, every one of us had portions too large to finish at one meal, and every one of us took home a "doggie bag" so that we could enjoy their wonderful dishes again at our lodgings. As far as I'm concerned Abbondanza Italian restaurant offers you the best value of any of the dining establishments in Key West. Well priced, excellent food, low cost or free parking adjacent (no little consideration in downtown Key West) and good service to. Don't miss Abbondanza if you're and Italian food afficiandado, and looking for a place to eat in Key West.

Kelly's Caribbean
Restaurant

American film star Kelly McGillis opened this restaurant over 10 years ago. The location is one of Key West's impressive and historic buildings, the original birthplace of Pan American airlines. It boasts the southernmost brew pub, and offers the visitor thirst-quenching fresh brewed beers and ales. Have a drink at the airplane wing! You need to visit to see what that's all about. Good drinks, good food, nice locale.

Mangia Mangia
Italian Restaurant

When we're in Key West, we tend to park right abround where Mangia Mangia is located, do our siteseeing and sunset at Mallory Square, and then meander back to take dinner at Mangia Mangia. When dinner is over, it's a short walk to the car, and the parking is free!

Their location isn't the reason we go back to Mangia Mangia. It's the ambiance, the food, the service, and that the locals eat here too. It's all good, and worthwhile dining here. Prices are reasonable for Key West. Not the least, not the highest. Enjoy.
